Wymondham Utd v Jex

After a long lay off due to weather, Wymondham Town U13’s travelled to Jex who were well organised and broke though to take an early lead. Wymondham responded with a nice break but was intercepted by Jex. Solid work from Sam Palmer kept Jex pressure at bay, play settled but Wymondham conceded from a free kick. More pressure was soaked up by the back 4 of Fraser Fields, Owen Lancaster, Joe Goreham and Adam Harmer. Bradlie Harcourt, Michael Farmer, Ollie Street and Ashley Ward in midfield work tirelessly trying to slow down Jex. Ashley went off injured and with a re-jig Ed Morley joined defence. Charlie Love and James Burns picked up any crosses from Sam Clarke to try to level the score. Jacob Richies came on in the second half with fresh legs for the defence but despite this Wymondham found themselves down by 8-0 at the final whistle. Despite this defeat the lads all came off with there heads held high.
