Wymondham U9's visited Indies A (in the top 2) at Thetford. There was no changes from last weeks line-up, Wymondham expecting another hard game, but hoping for a win.
In the first couple of minute's Indies opened up the Town defence, with Lewis on hand to make a smart save. The game was tight with both Jamie and Luke doing well under increasing pressure from the Indies forwards. Town started to fight their way back into the game with the best move of the match. The move started on the right with Sonny, who passed it onto Henry who then laid it off to Luke, too shoot just over the bar. This was going to go down to the wire! Both teams were working hard to make chances, but they were few and far between.
Town had to take Jacob off due to injury just before half-time, introducing Charlie into the game. Things didn't change into the second-half, with both teams working hard, but with little reward.
Moving into the last 15 minutes - Charlie moved into goal and Lewis moved into midfield. Town needed to push for the winner. Two minutes in and Indies scored, across from the right, which was well finished by the Indies forward.
Town needed to push forward now, Sonny, Henry, Lewis and Luke making some great runs, but not working the Indies keeper. It was going to be one of those games, we worked very hard as a team, but didn't create the chances in front of goal. Final score 1- 0 to Indies A.
